April 28, 2014- 16 weeks-Feliz Cumpleaños:):)

Feliz Cumpleaños:):)

First off, happy birthday Mckinley!!!!!!!! I heard you're going down
to St. George this week. Way sweet!

What is up!?

Well this week has been bittersweet.  They did this big campaign thing
in Argentina that allowed anyone that needs medical treatment or
glasses to receive it for free.  But the thing is is that you have to
stand in line outside and they only help the first 150 people that day
and if you are not one of those you have to wait till the next day.
This went on for like two weeks and they actually helped sooooo many
people which was awesome.  So why is it important?  Well my comp
wanted glasses so we went last week and a member took us to stand in
line at 5:30 in the morning! It was SO cold!  Anyways we finally got
to the point where they were going to test us to see if we need
glasses which was at like 12 in the afternoon and there was a TV
camera right in my grill. haha We laughed..turned out I don't need
glasses and my comp doesn't really need them either but i guess he
just really wanted them. Ya i was kinda mad. haha but the next day we
were stopped a few times and were told that we were on TV!! hahaha we
made the Argentine News that broadcasts over all of Argentina!! So
that was awesome!

Saturday we were packed with lessons and we ended up having 3 full
meals!  One was pretty busche. It was an Peruvian family that fed us
rice and all the crap and intestines inside the chicken.  Basically
rubber with a nasty flavor.

Milagro´s is awesome.  She´s 10 and her family knows a lot about the
church but her parent's are not married but they fully support her
daughter joining the church.  We have this little homie Eury being
baptized on the 10 of May and we are almost positive Milagro will be
too that day.

TOMAS IS KILLING US.  When we teach him he loves every second and he
has built a lot of trust with us.  He broke up with his girlfriend for
good now and he said he would for sure go to church yesterday.  Ya
nope. Bailed last minute because he had work.  We should have 3 or 4
baptisms in May but these people need to realize the importance of
attending church!!!!!!

So guess what!? They are going to build a chapel in our area at the
start of next year!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more meeting in an old pizza
joint!!  We were so excited when the president of the branch announced
that!

Ramón is going to go to all of our lessons with us tomorrow and I know
he will help so much.  This guy has nothing but what he does have he´d
share it with everyone.  He's starting to sell his little birds he has
all of his house in order to buy food for two days.  His all time
dream since he was a little kid was to go to the United States but he
was never able to because of all the paperwork and the legal issues
before.  I told him once I return home and have some money i would
bring him here.

Oh mom! haha this less active family that we brought back to the
church now feeds us every Thursday and the mom is crazy!  She sales
finger nail polish and stuff and makeup and stuff and she always asks
me and Elder Salas if we want to buy anything.....like naw we're good.
haha but she gave me some eye shadow for you!  I told her you
wouldn't get it for probably two years and she insisted! haha so i
have some top of the line eye shadow for you;)

We met a lot of new people this week that seemed very interested that
we'll see tomorrow.

I love being a missionary and I love spreading the true gospel that is
on the earth right now.  We are so lucky to be a part of something so
special!! Oh and i can´t send pictures this week.  I forgot my camera
at the cabin.  Oh.. Elder Salas cut my hair!! haha i hate cutting my
hair so bad!!! But it turned out good so it's whatever!

Love you all and hope you have a good week,
Elder Lamb
